On the internet, a social network is an online community for a group of people to share common interests and activities. It is also a place to explore the interests and activities of other persons. Social networks, like My Space and Face Book, have millions of users and have also become a popular place for teens to interact…..with or without their parents’ involvement. Given the widespread use of these services by teens, it is important for parents to understand the implications of their children participating in on-line social networking. We can not possibly watch over our children every moment, however, it is important to teach our children to be safe when it comes to social networking.

Last month, we discussed the premise behind Ben Stein's new movie, Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed. We discovered that scientists who support (or for that matter mention) Intelligent Design are being “black-listed” and often have their careers ruined by the “scientific” establishment - often simply for doubting the ability of Darwinian evolution to explain the scientific facts they are seeing. This month, I would like to look at just three areas of science that are causing many scientists to doubt evolution and believe in the possibility of a Designer: Cosmology, Molecular Biology, and Paleontology.

Oh the beautiful lazy, days of summer. The days are bright, the temperatures are high, and at night if you listen you can hear a symphony of crickets and tree frogs! Summer is definitely my favorite season of the year. Did you know that August is National Admit You Are Happy Month? I found several references to this fact on the Internet, but I couldn’t find any sites that explained how August was bestowed this honor. But isn’t it exciting? A whole month to focus on how happy you really are. What if you spent the whole month focusing on your blessings, on the little things that bring you joy, instead of the things that you wish you had, or wished were different or simply wished would go away.

When God first created man, he put him in a garden full of luscious vegetation and fruit trees. That garden held everything that was required to live and be healthy. So, from the beginning, according to Genesis 1:29, man was to nourish his body with the vegetables, fruits, seeds, nuts and grains provided in the garden by nature. Biblical records show no reports of any sickness or disease of any kind as long as humans ate the foods in the garden. Not only did these people live free from disease, but they also lived very long healthy lives. Only after they began to eat foods outside of the garden did the Bible record cases of sickness and disease.
