Avoid Heart Attacks PDF Print E-mail

Heart attacks kill more people in America than any other form of sickness.  Statistics show that one out of every two Americans alive today will die of cardiovascular disease, usually in the form of a heart attack.  Think about it.  Those statistics say that today, when you go to work, or to the store, or to church, half of the people that you see will probably die of heart disease!

Every 33 seconds someone in the United States dies of a heart attack.  Most people think that it will never happen to them, but the "statistics" say it is very possible that you will have one.

Is there anything we can do to prevent being victimized by this killer?  The answer is yes.  You can cut your risk of ever having heart disease or a heart attack practically to zero.  How?  By changing from the unhealthy standards of the American diet of meat, sugar and processed food, to the healthy natural diet given to man by God in Genesis 1:29 that consists of raw fruits and vegetables including seeds, nuts and grains.

The Bible tells us in Proverbs 26:2 that "..the curse causeless shall not come."  There is a cause behind heart attacks (as well as all other physical breakdowns).  If we want to eliminate heart attacks, we have to eliminate the cause behind this so-called silent killer.

Many doctors and so-called experts would have you believe that heart disease is hereditary and that if it runs in your family, then it's just unfortunate for you.  That you're just one of the unlucky ones.  But God did not make 50% of us with a predisposition toward heart attacks and the other 50% with stronger hearts and healthier arteries.

There is a cause behind heart attacks.  Although heredity, lack of exercise, and stress play a role, heart attacks can virtually be attributed to the foods we eat.

Foods high in fat and cholesterol clog and block arteries restricting the blood flow.  When the blood flow to the heart is blocked, the result is a heart attack.  When the blood flow to the brain is blocked, the result is a stroke.  We can keep our arteries healthy and unrestricted by eliminating fat and cholesterol from our diet.

You won't find any fat or cholesterol in apples, bananas, peaches, broccoli, lettuce, rice, lentils, cucumbers, corn or cauliflower.  Most of the saturated fat and all the cholesterol come from animal products.  These products include beef, milk, chicken, eggs, pork, fish, etc.

There is scientific fact along with numerous studies that link the consumption of meat, fish, poultry and dairy products as the primary cause of heart disease and heart attacks.  Additionally, hydrogenated oils (Margarine and other hardened vegetable oils) join with the animal fats and build up on the arterial wall causing blockage and leading to heart attack and stroke.  You will be amazed at how many foods contain hydrogenated oil such as most cookies, crackers, chips, and microwave popcorn.

Studies show that when we eliminate animal products and hydrogenated oils from our diet, we reduce our risk of ever having heart attack or stroke by approximately 96%.

Preventative health care expert, Dr. Julian Whitaker declares that death by heart disease is unnecessary.  He explains, "For some reason there is a widespread belief that heart disease is an inherited disease, with family history playing the strong role in who is to suffer and die from it.  In reality heart disease is a nutritional disease for the overwhelming majority and family history has little to do with it."

So attack heart attack before it attacks you!
