Celebrating 12 Years of Serving You PDF Print E-mail
Written by Kimberly Creech

With this issue of Special Edition we celebrate our twelve-year anniversary of serving the communities of Hancock County.  We are very thankful to you, our readers, our advertisers, our writers and contributors.

As we continue to bring you human interest stories, local news with fun and entertaining events for everyone to enjoy, we endeavor to touch your lives with information that will educate, encourage, edify and inspire you to live life to the fullest while thoroughly enjoying it along the way.

If you have not previously read articles by our columnists, we invite you to do so now.  There is information contained in these articles that is so rich, if you just take away a small piece of one of these to think about and apply, it can have a wonderfully, positive impact on your well being.

Like the good results reported by readers to Nutritionist Gary Regich, who has written the column Healthy Living for Special Edition for many years now, continually reminding us of the benefits of eating healthy and how keeping both mind and body disciplined will profit every other area of life as a result.  Those who choose to apply the information are glad that he so freely shares the knowledge that has taken so many years to accumulate.

Most of us own vehicles.  That is why Mike Cecil provides us with timely reminders of preventative maintenance suggestions that can ultimately save us time and money in every issue.  We also feature helpful articles in other areas like home and garden, fitness, stress reduction, time management, gift ideas, recipes, entertaining and much, much more.

Lifelong Greenfield resident Tracy Gray, who has extensively studied the history of our country and founding fathers, recently joined our team of writers with a series entitled Original Intent, specifically detailing historical facts that have long been brushed under the carpet by some who take the position that if you say something loud enough and long enough, eventually even well meaning people will believe it, even if it's a lie.

A youthful perspective can be found from guest writer Kaitlyn McDonald, who shares her thoughts on a variety of subjects including occasional Day Trip articles.

And for those who are interested in relevant Biblical application for improving the quality of life by following the guidelines laid out by the creator of it and of all things, please read Faith Factor, which is my column.  In view of the turbulent times we are living in, it is my utmost hope for Special Edition to be a light shining brightly out of the darkness.  I am so thankful for the guiding hand of the heavenly Father on all our lives and on this paper as he has carefully steered its course through troubling times and brought us safely into harbor.

We at Special Edition care about you and want to be a good thing in your life; something you look forward to every month. We want the moments that you spend reading this publication, to strengthen you, encourage you to hang on or to push forward, providing practical ways to set and achieve your goals in life and presenting you with interesting information that you are glad you found out about.
