I would like to share 50 tips that can help you to attain and maintain your optimum health. These tips are not intended to put you in a box; rather, they are goals. Obviously, you will not meet these all within a week, a month or even six months. However, if you consistently select tips and then work them, you will see good changes occur in your health. 1. Eat more raw fruits and vegetables – mostly vegetables. Many health experts agree that a minimum of 50% of your daily food intake should be raw food for you to be healthy.2. Drink a minimum of 10 glasses of water each day – not tap water. Numerous health conditions including headaches, back and joint pain, acid reflux, ulcers and high blood pressure could be cured simply by drinking the proper amount of water. F. Batamanghelidj, MD, author of “Your Body’s Many Cries for Water,” states, “Chemical and persistently increasing dehydration is the root cause of almost all currently encountered major diseases of the human body.”3. Take a whole food supplement daily. Whole food supplements are concentrated food that are high in nutrients and contain enzymes. I personally take Barley Max, a green powder from the juices of barley and alfalfa leaves.4. Eat flaxseed of flaxseed oil each day.5. Walk. Our bodies were designed to move. People in Europe, Africa and other countries walk eight to 10 miles a day while the average American walks about one block a day.6. Sweat. Sweating is one of the ways to release toxins from our bodies.7. Sleep seven to eight hours each night.8. Get sunshine every day – minimum of 30 minutes. Sunshine is healthy. It has a calming effect to your system and is a source of vitamin D.9. Take deep breaths of fresh air. Some people go outside for a smoke break. I recommend that you go outside for a fresh air break.10. Eat mostly organic food. Organic tastes better and is better for you.11. Don’t eat food from a microwave oven.12. Avoid processed foods. Processed foods are usually loaded with preservatives, chemicals and other poisons. This contributes to sickness and has little nutritional value.13. Eliminate or reduce your meat consumption.14. Avoid dairy products. These products are very mucus producing and are associated with many allergies. Countries consuming the highest amounts of dairy have the highest rates of osteoporosis. I realize that some advertising may indicate the opposite of what I am saying, however, I suggest that you do some research and find out for yourselves.15. Eliminate or greatly reduce sugar – fructose, corn syrup. Sugar suppresses the Immune System and leaches vitamins and nutrients from your body.16. Avoid and/or definitely watch eating foods from fast food restaurants. 17. Avoid foods with hydrogenated oil – trans fats. It is man made fat and it clogs the arteries, a condition that causes heart disease. It is one of the worst things that you can put in your body. Read labels because this is in many types of food items including various cookies, crackers, microwave popcorn, chips, etc.18. Don’t eat foods with chemicals listed as ingredients.19. Eliminate soda pop and sugary juices.20. Avoid aspartame and other kinds of artificial sweeteners. Aspartame is classified as an excitotixic and can harm the brain and nervous system.21. Eliminate or reduce caffeine.22. Don’t smoke.23. Avoid or greatly reduce alcohol consumption.24. Don’t use sun screams or lotions filled with harmful chemicals – go natural. Whatever you put on your body is absorbed into your system. One rule of thumb is if you can’t eat it, don’t put it on your body.25. Eat beans and lentils.26. Don’t eat white flour products. White flour quickly turns to sugar in your body.27. Buy a juice machine and use it daily. Juicing is the best way to get high amounts of nutrients into your body. It is one of the most important things that I do to nourish my body and stay healthy.28. Practice thinking positive thoughts. The Bible says, “As a man thinks in his heart, so is he.” – Proverbs 23:7. 29. Practice speaking positive words about yourself and others. “Death and life are in the power of the tongue” – Proverbs 18:21. Words are powerful and they can heal or make you sick.30. Eat raw organic nuts and seeds.31. Eat an apple a day.32. Check your body pH. Cancer and other diseases can’t exist in an alkaline environment; however, when your body’s pH is acidic, disease such as cancer, diabetes and multiple sclerosis thrives in that environment. Alkaline foods are foods like raw vegetables, fruits, and other like foods from nature.33. Eliminate or greatly reduce non-prescription and prescription drugs. Drugs can be toxic to your body and have the potential for dangerous side effects. As you apply healthy habits, you will see good changes and have the opportunity to eliminate drugs. Remember, it’s your body and your choices.34. Do not take vitamin pills. Vitamin pills could be a waste of money and may even be potentially dangerous. Look for ways to get nutrients into your body such as juicing. I take a B12 supplement.35. Take digestive enzymes. Processed and cooked foods have no enzymes. These digestive enzymes will help to eliminate heartburn, acid reflux, gas and bloating.36. Take probiotics.37. Drink juice or eat fruit for breakfast.38. Use organic sea salt and eliminate table salt.39. Listen to quality stress reducing music.40. Laugh41. Be thankful.42. Get and give hugs.43. Don’t use air fresheners with toxic chemicals in them.44. Reduce watching depressing television and commercials that promote poor health information.45. Don’t eat late at night.46. Use a mini trampoline. This is a great way to stimulate your lymph system and every cell in your body. It is especially great to use in the winter when it is more difficult to get out and exercise.47. Don’t eat fried foods.48. Use extra virgin olive oil.49. Read the Bible and other positive materials on health. God’s Word is medicine to your body – Proverbs 4:20-22.50. REJOICE! I believe that you will have great success as you apply these tips to your lives.
